Las sombras de la firma cosmética NYX causaron un gran revuelo tanto en redes sociales como en YouTube hace unos cuantos años. Todo el mundo las adoraba en su formato cuadrado y con relieve piramidal.

Más tarde NYX perdió su lugar en la alfombra roja y pasó a ser prácticamente una completa desconocida hasta que en 2016 la firma comenzó a promocionarse mediante las influencers de moda, las youtubers.

Hoy os vengo a mostrar las 4 sombras que poseo de NYX gracias a que mi amiga Mayupii me las regaló por mi reciente cumpleaños y que os mostré junto con otros presentes AQUÍ.

NYX Cosmetics' eyeshadows were a hit on YouTube and social medias a couple of years ago.

Everyone was crazy about their quality and their squared piramidal design.

Later, NYX lost its place on the red carpet and became a complete unknown brand until the company began to promote itself through fashion influencers, youtubers, in 2016.


Today I am here to show you the 4 NYX eyeshadows that I own thanks to my friend Mayupii who gifted them for my recent birthday and that I show you with other present HERE.

Each year since we met she has have the detail of sending me some presents for my birthday, even though she knows that it is not necessary.

It made me especially happy to receive her gifts today that I am sick at home .

Hoy os vengo a hablar del mejor descubrimiento del 2012 {sí, hablo del pasado año que fue cuando lo comencé a usar y lo descubrí} en cuanto a maquillaje en polvo se refiere.

CARACTERÍSTICAS
Se trata del colorete de NYX en el tono TAUPE. Es un marrón grisáceo perfecto para el contorno en pieles muy blancas ya que recrea un tono similar a la sombra que se crea en ciertas partes de nuestra cara y cuerpo de forma natural al no tirar a un tono anaranjado o rojizo como suelen hacerlo otro tipo de productos en polvo destinados al contorno y ser completamente mate.

Lo descubrí gracias a la recomendación que daba NikkieTutorials en uno de sus vídeos en el que estaba enamorada de este blush {colorete} por lo mencionado en el párrafo anterior.

¿QUÉ HE USADO ANTES DEL DE NYX?
Hasta que lo descubrí yo usaba mi colorete de Odile Charette sacado en el post de Favoritos del 2012 para intentar que algunas facciones de mi cara se vieran algo más reducidas con un toque suave de "bronceador". Lo que quiero decir con esto es que el de Odile solo lo usaba para enmarcar mi cara dando algo de color bronceado encima de los pómulos, como toque de sol natural que ya afina algo el rostro por tener algo más de color que el resto de la cara. No lo he usado nunca para marcar los pómulos que es para lo que utilizo el de NYX o para afinar la nariz y otras zonas que quiera "tapar".

TEXTURA
Se trata de un colorete algo tizoso pero muy pigmentado y con tacto increíblemente sedoso. Es por ello que hay que tener cuidado a la hora de usar el pincel tanto para coger poca cantidad como para aplicarlo y que no se quede marcado el primer brochazo en la piel. Yo prefiero coger poca cantidad, a penas rozando la brocha {tanto la Yachiyo como a biselada de Sigma} e ir aplicando sin casi rozar la piel aumentando la potencia poco a poco.

Today I have to share the best discovery of 2012 for me {yes, I'm talking about something from last year since I bought and started to use it at that time} when comes to powder make-up.

CHARACTERISTICS
It's a blush from NYX in the shade TAUPE. It is a greyish brown powder which is perfect to contour super pale skin tones like mine since it recreates the natural shadow that appear in some places on our face or body being completly matte. It has the perfect grey undertone and not the usual orangy or redish one which is, unlikely, the most common among contouring products.

I discovered this product because NikkieTutorials recommended it for pale skins and shared with us that she was in love with this blush because of the characteristics described above.

WHAT DID I USE BEFORE THIS BLUSH FROM NYX?
Well, before I knew about this blush I tend to use an Odile Charette blush which is also mentioned in my Favourites of 2012 post. It is my favourite bronzer now but since it's so subtle it also worked for shaping my face nicely with that sun kissed touch of color on my cheek bones. Now I use the NYX one under my cheek bones which is the natural place where the shadow is created when you have a slimmer face and that's why I love this blush, because it doesn't work as a bronzer, it's the perfect shadow color to make your features slimmer without looking fake.

TEXTURE
It's a bit chalky but very pigmented and incredibly silky; that's why you have to be careful when applying it with your brush measuring the quantity so that it doesn't leave the first stroke marked on your skin. 

I prefer to apply it lightly and gradually build it up {I like the Yachiyo and the Sigma contouring brush for this} so that the color is distributed nicely and evenly.

PRECIO
No he encontrado un vendedor online que lo tuviera a buen precio incluyendo los gastos de envío así que aunque me parezca que 6,49€ {en Make-up Stories de Bilbao} sigue siendo caro para un colorete, como se que me va a durar {si no se me cae ¬¬} no me duele tanto comprarlo, pero si alguien sabe de algún vendedor que lo tenga a buen precio le agradecería muchísimo la información.

Y no hay mucho más que decir. Ya veis que me encanta y creo que merece mucho la pena aunque sea probarlo porque si no os convence para contorno siempre lo podéis usar como sombra de ojos o quien sabe, hasta de colorete, ya que en realidad es lo que se supone que es.

I haven't found an online seller who had it for a good price including the shipping so even if I consider 6,49€ being too expensive for a blush {I bought it in Bilbao's Make-up Stories} since I know it will last {if I don't throw it down ¬¬} I consider it worth it, or at least it doesn't hurt that much buying it because I know I will use it.
