LUGARES CON ENCANTO | POTIADICTAS ¿COSMÉTICA COREANA EN BILBAO?

Comenzamos bien la semana con un nuevo descubrimiento por estos lares vascos en los que vivo.

Cuál fue mi sorpresa el Lunes tras el madrugón que me pegué para ir a Santutxu, cuando vi una tienda que parecía de cosmética a lo lejos antes de irme al metro.

Más me sorprendí al ver lo que escondía su interior. ¡COSMÉTICA COREANA EN BILBAO? WHAAAT?

This week started up with a new discovery here, in the Basque Country where I live.

On Monday, I had an appointment  early in the morning. I was super sleepy even after it when I saw a local which looked like a makeup store.

I got highly surprised once I entered.
KOREAN COSMETIC IN BILBAO? WHAAAT?

LOCALIZACIÓN 
C/Karmelo 9 (Santutxu).

Encontramos este cuco local justo detrás del ascensor del metro de la calle Karmelo de Santutxu esta pequeña tienda decorada de una manera un tanto Vintage que me recuerda a la desaparecida Miss Divine.

Muchas de vosotras ya me habéis dicho en la foto que subí a Instagram que conocíais la web.

El nombre me sonaba porque creo recordar que hay un grupo en Facebook que se llama igual, pero desconocía su existencia como página web y de cosmética asiática.

Karmelo 9 Street (Santutxu).

We can find this cute store behind Santutxu's elevator of Metro Bilbao at Karmelo street.
It is decorated with a Vintage kind of look which reminds me of the closed Miss Divine.


Many of you told me on the picture I uploaded to Instagram that you already knew about this store.

I had heard before of it but just because there is a group on Facebook with the same name, but I didn't know that, actually, it was a local store neither a website with korean cosmetics on sale.

Ya solo por lo bonito que está decorado su interior merece la pena entrar a echar un vistazo ya que llama la atención por salirse del estilo tan habitual de líneas rectas y colores oscuros de otros locales de estilo más moderno y hasta con cierto aire "prefabricado".

Not only due to its inside decoration is a must see, but also because its unique style makes a difference from the usual straight and black lined designs we are used to seeing nowadays. These gives shops a premade touch with no personal style.

Para ser un establecimiento tan "pequeñito" la verdad es que han sabido elegir la distribución de los productos ya que podemos distinguir dos secciones que están bastante repletas de productos, por lo que tenemos entretenimiento para rato.

A mano izquierda encontraremos todo lo relacionado al cuidado de la piel y a mano derecha el maquillaje.

Además, Judith, la dependienta que me atendió, me comentó que están pensando en impartir sesiones de maquillaje, por lo que espero que nos mantengan informadas/os en su página de Facebook.

Being the kind of "small" local store it is, they have distributed everything in a clean yet cute way where we can distinguish two sections. Also, each shelf is full of items so we will enjoy our visit for longer than we could expect.

On the left, we will find everything skincare related whereas on the right makeup will have its own space.

Moreover, Judith, the sale assistant, who assisted me, mentioned that they were preparing makeup lessons so I hope that they will keep all us informed on their Facebook page.

Yo me animé a probar dos mascarillas; una en tipo exfoliante de arroz y la otra para purificar la piel siendo la típica de algodón impregnada en producto.

I ended up purchasing these two face masks; one is a kind of rice scrub and the other one claims to  help to purify the skin. It is a cotton mask sunk in a lotion.

Por mi parte comercios pequeñitos como este que se nota que trabajan con creatividad y con ganas merecen todo el apoyo posible, que parece que ya solo se llevan el dinero las grandes empresas y los emprendedores cada vez son menos.


En su página web podéis ver en detalle los productos que tienen a la venta, información sobre cada producto y sus precios.
Cierto es que son más elevados que los que podemos encontrar online, pero también es verdad que tenemos otras ventajas que no obtenemos online como: la posibilidad de hacer swatches, toquetear los productos y ver sus texturas y colores reales, etc.

I do really support these small local stores that do such a great job not only trying to stand out from others with their creativity, but also because it seems like only big departments can make money nowadays and, therefore, entrepreneurs go bankrupted.


You can have a better idea of the products they sell on their website as well as the prices and added information of each item.
It is true, though, that their prices are higher than the ones we find online at other shops, but we have other advantages that we cannot get online such as:
swatching the products, trying out their textures, smells, colors, etc.
